‘Rust’ movie armorer sues prop supplier over live rounds on set of fatal shooting

A warrior in charge of weapons used in Western painting “Rust”Sued the arms dealer on Wednesday, alleging that his company distributed live ammunition to the area where police say the player. Alec Baldwin shot in a circle that killed filmmaker Halyna Hutchins.

Armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed, 24, is seeking anonymous damages from attorney Seth Kenney and his company, PDQ Arm and Prop LLC, according to a lawsuit filed in a New Mexico court.

Kenney could not be reached for comment. In an interview with ABC News in December, Kenney denied that the organism came from his company.

Oct. 21 is being investigated by government officials in New Mexico and has shaken up the show business, citing the life of a rising star of the filmmaker and injuring the film’s director, Joel Souza.

Reed’s suit says he remembers carrying a rifle and a bulletproof vest, dabbling in the box to make a signature jingling sound that the swimmers had to make.

“As far as Hannah knew, the gun was loaded with 6 dummy rounds,” the suit said.

The suit also reportedly stopped firing at gunpoint 15 minutes earlier because COVID protocols locked him out of the church where he fired. The shot was never shot in the film, as Baldwin tries to get shot later.

“The shells were misrepresented as useless weapons when they had live and live weapons,” the suit said. “The detainees distributed boxes of shells which they said contained ammunition but which contained compounds mixed with live ammunition that formed rust.”

Baldwin told ABC News that he did not release the gun, claiming that the Colt rifle went off when he pulled out the gun and tested the camera angles with Hutchins.
