Paper Planes – A simplistic yet enjoyable game for the C64 as a port by Arlasoft

Arlasoft and other programs are mentioned several times in the Indie Retro News, as they have made some interesting games such as Pillars, Galaxian, Galaga, Fast Food and Taz. Well here we have another game made by Arlasoft, having just released the C64 game ‘Paper Planes’; Slightly improving the C64 port for common games is Sam Mawa which was first released through the Ludum Dare competition late last year.

According to the game description: You need to collect as many yellow symbols as you can while driving left and right to avoid the amount of black enemy planes flying through the window. Enemy planes follow the same path as you, except that unlike you, they cannot be rolled from one side of the screen to the other and instead turned. This means that you can try different ways to change the course of the enemy or just rely on quick control to avoid problems and expect to find the nearest power.
