Microsoft stopped producing Xbox One consoles

Microsoft has recently confirmed that the company suspended production of its popular Xbox One machine in 2020.

According to The Verge, Microsoft explained that they had stopped making Xbox One at that time in order to focus more on making their current systems, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. The statement was made by Cindy Walker, executive director of Xbox Console Product Marketing.

When a Xbox One X console ceased production earlier in July 2020, a Xbox One S continued production throughout the year. All the comforts left for retailers were left to be bought with no way to get any more.

Even at first glance, this may seem absurd because of the semiconductor complexity, it is different. It has been proven that the latest generation of the Xbox Series S is easy to make due to their small size.

It is important to note that this article was published only one day Sony announced that they have been expanding the production of their last machine, the PlayStation 4, by 2022, to meet the challenges posed by the reduction of the PlayStation 5 chip and the increasing demand for the Covid 19 plague.

While the Xbox Series S has its drawbacks such as being powerless, low-level video display, and having no disk drive, it is a comfort to know that there are more or less modern game modes for players to enjoy.

This is confirmed by plenty of Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles sold in December 2021. According to available data, the latest generation of Xbox consoles sold more than one million units in the UK which showed a 108% increase in monthly sales. This prompted Xbox to hit their November 2020 sales figures which was the month of launch of the Xbox Series X / S.
