FTA Ireland calls for single occupancy cabins on continental ferry routes

FTA Ireland is calling on boat operators to provide single cabinets for drivers on the sidewalks to prevent the spread of COVID 19.

Ireland’s FTA chief of staff Aidan Flynn reminded sailors that drivers are Essential Workers and that “everything must be done to protect the health and well-being of these Key Workers.”

He added: “The drivers are always the unsung heroes of the Supply Chain. We would be lost without them! That is why it is so important for sailors to continue to respect this group of people and to provide drivers with accommodations on international roads.

He added: “The Covid virus is so widespread that all precautions should be taken even if it means reducing public health and safety.”
