Cristiano Ronaldo breaks silence on Erik ten Hag appointment

Cristiano Ronaldo has warned that Erik ten Hag will need time to be a success at Manchester United, though he retains hope that the club will challenge for trophies next season. Despite Ronaldo’s goal-scoring exploits – for which he was crowned the Premier League’s Player of the Month for April – United have endured yet another dismal season and their trophy drought has now stretched to five years.

It was announced that Ajax boss Ten Hag would take charge in the summer last month after a £ 1.75million fee was agreed to release him from his contract in Amsterdam.
